Through this very special project, Rachel Flynn invites horse owners across West Gippsland, Victoria and throughout Australia and internationally to celebrate and preserve the legacy of their senior horses — capturing their story, wisdom, and enduring spirit through the art of fine art equine photography.

Having spent nearly her entire life around horses, Rachel has witnessed the many stages of their lives and developed a deep appreciation — and love — for the senior horse.

The beauty of the senior horse is often overlooked in a world that celebrates youth and vitality. Yet in the eyes of those who truly know them, senior horses age like fine wine. With time comes serenity, understanding, and a calm strength that only experience can bring.

These horses hold the stories of the miles you’ve travelled together — the trust built, the challenges overcome, and the quiet companionship that deepens with every passing year. They may no longer move with the exuberance of youth, but their wisdom, grace, and solidarity shine brighter than ever.

This project was created to honour and celebrate our senior horses through fine art photography — preserving their legacy, spirit, and story for generations to come. Based in Neerim South, West Gippsland, Rachel photographs senior horses across Victoria and travels throughout Australia to bring this project to horse owners everywhere.

Based in Neerim South, West Gippsland, Victoria, Rachel specialises in fine art senior horse photography that honours the legacy of your most cherished companion.

Sessions are available:
🐴 At Rachel’s peaceful on-farm studio in Neerim South, West Gippsland — with both indoor and outdoor backdrops
🐴 Across regional and rural Victoria and Australia-wide during travel sessions
🐴 Mid-week and most weekends throughout Gippsland, Victoria

Each session is calm, unhurried, and tailored to your horse’s comfort — allowing their true spirit and character to shine through every image.
